Important Updates: Isle of Man Passport, Nationality & Immigration Fee Increases from April 2025

From 10 April 2025, passport fees in the Isle of Man will increase in line with recent UK adjustments. If you’re planning to renew your British passport or apply for a new one, here’s what you need to know:

  • Standard Adult Passport: £100 → £107
  • Express Service (Adult): £178 → £190.50
  • Standard Child Passport: £69 → £75
  • Express Service (Child): £147 → £157.50

If your passport is due to expire within the next few months, you may wish to apply early to benefit from the current rates.

Additionally, from 9 April 2025, the UK government will implement increases in immigration fees, which will also affect those applying from overseas to enter the Isle of Man.

Key Fee Increases:

  • Visit Visa (6 months): £115 → £127 (increase of £12)
  • Visit Visa (2 years): £432 → £475 (increase of £43)
  • Worker Visa (3 years): £719 → £769 (increase of £50)
  • Business Migrant (Start-up) Visa (2 years): £584 → £625 (increase of £41)
  • Business Migrant (Innovator) Visa (3 years): £1,191 → £1,274 (increase of £83)
  • Student Visa: £490 → £524 (increase of £34)
  • Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) for the UK: £10 → £16 (increase of £6)

What This Means for You

For individuals and businesses navigating immigration or nationality applications, planning ahead is more important than ever. If you’re considering an application to enter the Isle of Man, you may wish to submit it (if permitted to do so) before the fee increases take effect.

We also expect in-country application fees to rise shortly, including for the standard application fee for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) to rise for the first time above £3,000, namely from the current £2,885 to £3,029. Where permitted to do so, applicants may wish to apply early to take advantage of the current rates.

Nationality fees will also be likely to increase, with the current adult naturalisation fee of £1,500 increasing to £1,605.
